Mine are mostly that it's about 5:00 pm the night of the party, and I've completely forgotten to decorate the house or put up spooky town. Had that one several times! Is it telling me something?

I've had a few dreams like that. Only I forgot to build my haunted house, and had to do it in a few hours.

I've had it twice this month. It's Halloween and I don't have ANYTHING out, or really even built. I'm out there trying to put spotlights out and then go inside the garage and try and make some tombstones as a few tot's come to the house.
It's absolutely horrible. Last one I forgot that I was having the biggest party of the year for Halloween at my house, and there wasn't even a decoration out, or any food.
It's scary.

I had a dream last year before halloween that little kids were coming to the door and leaving crying because I told them we dont do halloween anymore here. Then I had my terrible experiences and this year we are not doing halloween at this house for the first time in well over 20 years. That was quite a prophetic dream.

i've had those dreams as soon as october hits for the last 3 years! i wake up in a panic and feeling so let down by myself. then i realize it's a dream and can't go back to sleep cause i am just thinking about the props and whatnot i still have to finish. but yeah i hate those dreams!
i guess it just goes to show how important and real and dear halloween really is to all of us!"Trick or treat" is not a greeting, it's an ultimatum ~ Spats

Actually, I've had just the opposite dream... we're nearing October and I go to a storage building to see what I have, because for some reason I can't remember. When I open the door to the storage place, the space is packed with every high end Halloween prop, decoration, mask, etc. that you could imagine.
The nightmare part is waking up to realize that my collection isn't quite as grand as the one in my dream.

Hahah, I know the feeling very well. If you do a search of this forum, you'll see that this subject comes up often, especially from now until Halloween; I posted one myself last summer... that sick to your gut feeling of 'OH no lordy, Halloween's only an hour away and I haven't put anything up yet!'... ech, not a nice dream, but I do have them! The best thing is waking to realize it's August, or September, and you still have some time to finish whatever stressful project caused you to have such a nightmare in the first place!
Just take a deep breath, and keep repeating, 'It's only a dream, it's only a dream...'

Geeez! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
In the summer, I usually have at least 2 dreams about Halloween that always involve my party. In years past, there have been as many as 80 people at the party, and as little as 25.
In the dream, I'm standing around waiting on people to show up...but they never come! Then, my wife walks up to me in the middle of it and says "did you call everybody?" Then, I realize that I didnt call a soul because I was too busy! So, in the dream I'm left sick that I have spent all month decorating, and no one will see it!
Its so nice to be here amongst the Halloween fanatics!
