Hi, I stumbled across a great site to order from. (And no, I'm not in any way affiliated with them). It's www.hauntedxing.ca I ordered the Mommy Weirdest prop, a head and a mask from them. They were great to deal with, friendly, efficient and best of all --- it's here in BC, so we don't have to pay duty and brokerage fees.
I am so jealous of all of you who are in towns where the Halloween stuff comes out this time of year. We have to wait until after the kids go back to school for our stores to even think Halloween. Our nearest Walmart is 40 miles away so by the time we hear that the Halloween stuff is in stock any good stuff is sold out before we get there.
Maybe I can talk my husband into a trip to the US in September. I wouldn't mind making that a yearly vacation!

There are a few of us here. I agree whole heartedly about the duty and brokerage fees but I have found a few companies south of the border that ship without them. Anatomical Chart Compay is a favourite.
Locally, Home Sense and Winners have already put their Halloween stuff out. Not sure if there are any close to Kitimat though.
An annual shopping trip to the states? It is my annual holiday! If I go home (southern Ontario) I pop down to Buffalo or Detroit. If not, then I'll drive down to Montana or Washington. I find it works out really well since the selection varies greatly between countries. Just be prepared for some strange looks from border guards/airport security.Something wicked this way comes...

I'm here in Vancouver, but I still haven't really seen the great halloween goods appearing in our local dept stores yet....although, I do live close to a Michael's so I can't really complain. I have had a lot of good luck with ebay over the years, mostly buying from people in the U.S., but you can choose to search only for Cdn sellers if you prefer. Also - it never hurts to put out a request or two if you need something in particular on this forum. I have sent and received many free items just from conversing with people right here.
You should do an annual fall trip to the US for sure...I always make a point of it for the different stores and items...but don't forget about the foliage. Make it driving trip if you can
