This is the wording I'm going to be using for my husbands b'day invite but I want people to know its his 30th & also I want people to RSPV but I don't know where & what to put, does anyone have any suggestions?

Is the whole party spider themed? You could add something about being rescued before the sun rises on his 30th year...or make up a 'Curse of the Spiders' effective at his 30th year.

Those OTC black spiders would probably go through the mail OK. I'd add one to each invite.

Dearest Friends,

It is with the greatest urgency that I write to you in these most dire times. A short while ago, I was lured into an abandoned crypt by the sweet enchantments of tiny arachnids. Mesmerized by the spinning silk, I ventured deep into the tomb unaware that the portal to this gloomy chamber had been sealed up by the smooth threads of these seemingly harmless creatures.

As I pen this desperate missive, the spiders are proliferating in size and number with each passing hour! Friends, I implore you to come to my rescue! The location of this unassuming lair is (address here). Know it by the giant web covering the entrance. Only those dressed in costume shall be able to cross the threshold.

By my calculations, I'll be as good as spider's milk by 8:00PM, 20th of October...the exact day as would dawn my thirtieth year! I beg your intervention!

I can but only hope this letter will reach you posthaste and thus provide you enough time to return news no later than _____ of your intentions of my rescue or abandonment.

I guess you could say its going to be spider themed, going to be lots of webs everywhere, but I'll be using other props, I'm in australia so halloween isn't that big here its hard to get anything & most things don't come out until september, so I've been looking at all the props online to make, was thinking of doing tombstones, mummies, fog machine scary music & putting black plastic along my walls.

BTW, I think a spider party would be great fun! I'd add a light layer of spider webbing along with an OTC spider in each invitation...which would be printed on aged parchment paper, of course!

I won't be taking credt for the writing either I found it on another site.

I was already thinking of using spider webbing in the coffins & aged paper. I better hurry & start making the invites because I'm sending invites out 1 month before the party so that leaves me only a few weeks to make them.
