I am trying to waterproof fogger.
I got a styrofoam cooler turned it upside down(bottom is now the top)took the lid turned it upside down(bottom is now the top placed it on the cooler)cut two holes 1 inch from bottom .one is larger for the fog to come out of.the other is for the extension cord and is in the back.I spray painted them gray then I decided to put great stuff on them covering each side of the cooler and the edges of the lid I then spray painted it black. It looks gross like roots or intestines.I am going to repeat this on a second cooler and glue everything.minus the holes for fogger. And set a huge devil on top.
Has anyone used a cooler for this I know they have been used for chillers.
I did a test run sat and it worked great fog rolled out I let it run for 20 min.
I will have to put it on something off the ground and line up the fogger with the hole.
My concern will be heat build up. Most foggers get extremely hot. If your fogger heats up too much, my concern would be the cooler igniting or damage to the fogger itself. I would assume the inside of that cooler is going to get SCORTCHING hot after 20 minutes of running... Make sure its well vented to allow air to pass through it...
It didn't get hot. That is one thing I was wondering about. But the fogger was mildly warm like it is usually and the styrofoam felt normal when I lifted it off.I will be able to lift the unit off the fogger to fill it.
