Ha. My entire house gets worked over. The side yard all the way to the mailbox, at least 300 sq. ft. of stuff. 3000 square ft of space in the house has a touch of Halloween. All the photos get replaced, bulbs swapped, walls wrapped, spiderwebs, about a million lights, black lights, etc... tables covered, counters covered, chairs covered, mantle covered, chandaliers hung, back patio decked and canopies set up with chairs and a fire pit and two patio heaters roaring (unless the fans are going because it's too hot!)

So anyway... I started out with a flashing pumpkin back in 2000. Here I am today. Wherever you start, just hope you have a finish. :-)

The main floor gets a bit of a makeover. Spiders, bulbs, etc.

The basement gets a total makeover. A complete maze. MIB, flailing arms, mummy, etc. About 1000 sqft total.

    Two parties and it's trashed.

    Z.

I dont do much inside too commited to the outside.
I have a single car garage attached that is the base of the haunted house. I use the back patio and yard and the other side of the attached garage. Who knows how many sq ft. I also use the front yard for my yard haunt with at least 19 creatures/zombies. Match that with 15 gravestones, and lots of lights.
Wilbert I am with you, in 2000 a strobe light, creepy music me and a scary mask answered the door to 25 kids.
    Last year 846.

Well we are scaling back with an all daylight Oct.31 this year, last year we did the front, sideyard, back and into the garage, but this year we need more cover to darken things up,so we'll use more garage, I have a big 2 car one that was bump out 20 x 22 and a big inflatable H. House we will add on to, it will be a smaller one but we will pump more foggers into so my actors can hide a little, may add more props for them to hide around The amount of daylight this year is gonna be a bit of a deal breaker, but shouldn't hurt our 4-D garage movie night projected on a wall with fog, decor and actors to boot, at least we can control the darkness that way.

2003 was 50 sq ft, maybe.

Just me and a couple torches, with the candy bowl in a little section of the front yard. 80 ToT

    2006 was 150+

As I covered the entire front yard, curb and gutter. No idea how much it really measures. Took me 250 ft of rope to make the fence around the path, but some of that was in the middle, not all of it around the side... 300+ ToT and lots of parents

2007 will be 200+, I have to spill over across the driveway this year. Planning on 400 ToT, with some backup candy reserves

2008, however, is going to be 600+, as I'm mostly working on stuff for that now. Just non of it will be done in time for this year. Walkthrough all the way around the house. Sides and backyards getting included. It'll take me a couple years to get all those ideas fleshed out to my liking before we expand into the garage.

We decorate the entire house , my front yard and garage.
From flagstone on the walls ...with haunted pictures and the universal monsters on the walls.changing all of the light bulbs...using black lighting, fog machines, strob lights and more......If I get time this year we are going to add the decore to the back yard as well.we will just have to wait and see what the next two months bring.
I always set up my display in september.I start on the inside and by the 26th of september my hubby lets me put out my tombstones out front.
I leave it up from sept-nov....got to love it!!! muah ah ah ah
