So my hometown had their county-wide yard sale on Saturday and I made out like a bandit! I've been looking for pirate type stuff to decorate the new student lounge at my MMA gym and I definitely hit the jackpot! Here's what I found:
A large "treasure" chest for $45!
A small treasure chest for $1 (I repainted it but it still needs some aging)!
An 18" wood cannon for $3!
Also, a small table for $15 that will eventually hold a chess board and POTC chess pieces and 5 antique chairs with red leather seats for $80. They are pictured here but you can't tell much about them.
I was a very excited person when I got home!
Here's another picture of my Pirate Lounge in progress:
As you can tell, I've still got some work to do. I need to find another map for the frame above the fish tank, I need some fish for said tank, and I'm moving an entertainment stand out there to put my ship and some figurines on. I'll post some more pics when it all gets done.
Sorry for my rambling...just had to share my excitement with some people who might actually care.

Thanks guys!
I've not got much more done on it, but I did get my fish tank started night before last. I'm testing the water with some guppies and will buy cooler fish once I've determined that it's safe for them.
I'm not having any luck finding a map that I want in the right size so I guess I'm going to try my hand at making my own. I'm going to bring a map of the Outer Banks into photoshop and clear it out, have it printed, then hand color it. Keep your fingers crossed for me! Also, if anyone knows a good resource for maps of that area from 1680-1720 I'd really appreciate the info.

Okay, so 10 hours of photoshop and some very bloodshot eyes later, here's my map (I scratched the hand coloring idea and just did it all on the computer).
Critiques welcome.
