I've started doing trinket boxes, small acrylics on canvas and wooden pieces and clothe sculptures and I'd love to trade tips and ideas with people who also do arts and crafts but there just isn't a forum for that, that is as active as a props forum and that kinda frustrates me.
For instance, this is acrylics on canvas,
Now let's have lots of pics please.

That looks great. I've done a lot of small projects, as making bats out of socks, ghosts, clay eyeballs ande bones and stuff like that. Another project was painting over horrible landscapes I got from the thrift store. They were dreary forest scenes, so I added ghosts behind trees, bats, owls and tombstones into the landscape. It's easier than painting the whole picture. It's a great idea for a forum topic. When I dig out the pictures from the haunted closet I'll show them.

I was involved in a Halloween artist deck ( playable deck of cards comprised of original art) a while back and did the King of Spades.

I like the idea of altered paintings!
A lot of my artwork is fairly dark, but not really "Halloween".

Marsham, I can't wait to see the pics, and Dusza, excelant cards.
Except for my props, which I just started thanks to these forums, I'd have to say my stuff stays childhood Halloweenish.
I may no quams about it, I miss the magic that comes from the combination of Halloween and childhood.
Hocus Pocus is my number one Halloween movie. You know, I've always wanted a child. And now I think I'll have one,...on toast!

This year I'm planning on taking the digital pictures of last years' guests and morphing them using Photoshop, warping and changing facial features. I'll print them out in black/white or sepia, and use them on my haunted bookshelf. I'll just mount them in already existing frames. Not that the real family isn't scary enough, but maybe guests will actually look around more to find their faces.

i thought all the self made props in the props section were/are art! i know i consider mine to be =)
maybe we should have a non-prop art section. i know it'd be cool and would actually inspire me to do some also. i never even really considered it, but now that you brought it up it'd be fun !!!"Trick or treat" is not a greeting, it's an ultimatum ~ Spats
