    Hello everyone,

    I apologize if this is in the wrong section.I have a question,I am throwing out a computer and monitor,is there anything worth saving from the inside,that may be used for other purposes?(Halloween)

    Remove the hard drive and save it or smash it to bits. You don't want somebody getting their hands on that and possibly obtaining your personal info that may still be on it.

    Pull the power block unit for running 12v props on 110. Fans can also be used for project props stuff. @ pulling the hard drive & smashing it to bits is a good idea from AlivenBuried,
    also gets out those pent up aggressions from local stores not having Halloween stuff in stock yet or a prop project gone bad...!!

    What Dark Lord said. Don't let that power supply get away. Nor the fans, either.
    But have you thought about possibly keeping the monitor and computer (assuming it works) as something to run the various control programs like VSA? Or at the least, use it for a magic mirror?

    Cool beans,I hate to throw out anything that can be used for something else or even take certain parts out,yes it still works,but everybody in my household prefers laptops
