I just saw a post by RRguy that calls Vincent Price the "Einstein" of Horror. Personally, I don't agree. In my mind Christopher Lee, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney Jr., and Boris Karloff constitute the "Big Four" of Horror Films. To me, these guys are to Horror what Lincoln's Gettysburg Address is to Public Speaking, but, of course, to each his own.
Who do you think should be on the "Mt. Rushmore" of Horror?

My Mt. Rushmore would be too big. Too many to list for me here. I love your top four choices but Vincent would have to be on there too for me.
Now if we are talking Directors?..
Romero, Craven, Carpenter, Hooper
With a nice nod to James Whale simply for the classics that I love today.Boo
~ But I don't care Darling, because I love you, and you've got to let me eat your brains. ~

I would think more along the line of icons.
Frankenstein, Dracula, Wolfman, Mummy, or Creature from the Black Lagoon.

Boris (that voice OMG!), Bela, Lon C., Jr., and ELSA Lanchester!
Of course if it were my own Personal Mt. Rushmore...I would have Elsa, Boris, Nick Castle (as "The Shape" from Halloween), Bill Moseley (as Otis Driftwood), Sherri Moon Zombie (as Baby Firefly) and Sid Haig (as Captain Spalding). I have a really odd attraction to Otis and both of those movies for some reason that's why they're included ...And Finally Rob Zombie because his music is the catalyst behind the creations at my house...as P. J. Soles character Lynda would say "Totally"!But sweetheart the Headless Horseman prop is ONLY $3,500.00 give or take...

My Rushmore –

I am a fan of classic horror, so I would have to say my personal Mount Rushmore of horror would feature:
Freddy
Jason
Ghostface
Leprechaun
Jack Frost
The Fisherman
Darth Vader
If that's too many faces to fit on the monument then I would either get rid of Jason and Freddy or combine Darth Vader, Jack Frost and Ghostface into one super-scary face and leave all the other faces as they normally exist.

Peter Lorre, of course. He along with Peter Cushing and John Carradine deserve at least honorable mention.

Let's not forget Alfred Hitchcock as a director. Some of the best suspense films ever made to this day.
