Great News!

Hey everyone...

Just got some good news to share with everyone. We have been trying for quite some time to sell our home and we finally did. I was not able to have much of a haunt last year because of possible buyers coming through (prospective buyers would not care for a haunted cemetary in the front yard... they would if they were cool) It was a real bummer and I was beginning to think this year would be similar.

This year though the gloves are off!

Our new house that we are purchasing is a lot bigger and in a more visible neighborhood. Bigger yard... everything...

I am pretty pumped...

Well done. You're lucky, from what the projections are, housing sales are going to slump. Looks like you sealed the deal just in time.

Yay!

We're actually thinking of selling our house and will probably wait until after Halloween so that we don't have to worry about not decorating.

Last Halloween our house was for sale and we decided to go through with our whole house/yard haunt for our friends and neighbor's sake...we told our realtor that he could NOT show the house from the day before our Halloween party through the day after our Halloween party (Friday through Sunday)...wouldn't you know that about 5 hours before the party he called and said he was going to show the house in 15 minutes... our living room had been converted to a dungeon, there was a fineral set up in the family room and our dining room was the autopsy room (we were litterally hiding body bags in those 15 mintues). All we could do was laugh! It ended up being a young couple who came through and we were in the kitchen finishing the jello shots - they were good sports, but needless to say they never made an offer. I just had to share our story - we were mortified at the time, but now we can look back and laugh.

Congratulations. What market are you in?

Here in Georgia, we hit a slump, but that was due to a ridiculous build up of new homes. (BRAC forcasted 45k new people)

We are now moving at a pretty brisk rate thru the inventory. Not many new spec homes on the horizon, so older homes might actually sell in a year!

/Got into the real estate game at the wrong time, but it's getting better
