Is the theme for our party this year well I have got the witch stuff pretty well covered I am doing the kitchen with botles of fun stuff like eye of newt tounge of toad etc. I am just drawing a blank on how to do the rest of the house. We have a single wide mobile home so not alot of space but we always decorate the back yard and do alot out there as well. Which is pretty big and open space with the exception of our pool. We are on a fixed income so any cheap do it yourself ideas will be greatly appreciated . Thanks and Happy Haunting

These are cheap (free if you have the tomato cages lying around doing nothing after gardening time! ) and are running $1.25 at our Lowe's. They would make awesome ghouls, just imagine a swarm of these little knee biters all around your yard!
For pics of some in action, check out my photobucket. From 2005 pics 13-16 for a pictorial.
And some pics of a few in action:

    TOMATO CAGE MONSTER

    PARTS LIST

    1 Tomato Cage ~ approx. $2
(get one with LONG prongs that stick in the ground, the ones at Big Lots have rather short prongs so don't give the desired effect)

1 Long Sleeve tee or turtle neck (use something around a large or xl for room)(if shirt has printed logo can turn inside out or put on backwards)

1 Mask or Head of choice (can even use a milk jug, can paper mache or cover with Great Stuff later)

1 Gal. Milk jug if using mask

    1 Pair Gloves or Hands

additional items needed at time of display
1 wire hanger cut into 2 V-shaped pieces for grounding stakes, if used on hard surface, like inside house or on patio/drive use 2 bricks, large rocks or socks filled with sand.

1 Wig or Hat depending on choice of head

1 Pair of little shoes, if you want feet, get them at a thrift store if you don't have any that kids have outgrown (can use Big shoes too, depending on look you are going for )

Glowing skull posts I'm making for a Baba Yaga area:

    http://forums.mzocentral.net//index....dpost&p=247143

I've managed to get the cost of these down to $6 for the entire post.

Paper clay 'skulpted' skulls (tin foil over existing skull, paper clay over it, let dry, remove). Costing about $2 worth of clay per skull.

Color changing battery operated tea lights, I managed to find for $2.50 or so, after shipping:

And, the local wal-mart has bamboo poles for under $2. 2 pieces of wire hold the skull up, and some hotglue holds the tealight on.
