I watched a haunted house video where the house came alive. It had moving eyes and mouth and at the end white ghost people were flying around the house. Anybody know how this was done, and where i can buy the items that did this? Help!

he used a projector and put it on a neighbors house across the street. he had to make a video and trial and error to get the positions right. it's very time consuming i'd imagine but not impossible.

Multiple projectors (one for an each eye/mouth/etc) make the process much quicker. Of course, it costs considerably more too.

I would call that setup pretty much implausible for the average joe.

You need a really high quality projector, for one. You need to build an enclosure and be able to set it up at a distance to project on the house. You need software and skills to design the art and animate it. A dark street with a house that accepts the projected image well. (too many lights here, and a brick house doesn't make for good screen) And so on.
But good luck to you, the Bates house is one of my favorites. And besides the projector setup, not many props to store!

You can start out with the big scream tv videos. Ive used them to project a giant eye in my front window. The videos are pretty good and not too expensive.

Just a bit more on the Big Scream, they are on You Tube with instructions. Just look at the Eyes. If you make your own video for the mouth, you'd have it all. http://www.youtube.com/user/bigscreamtv
