like you needed to be somewhere for a reason? This has happened to me twice in the last 2 weeks. Right before my lunch break, I get the feeling that I need to go to a certain thrift store. One that is out of my way, but I go to every once in a while. Well, last time I went there knowing that they had a boogie board for sale. I had been to all the resale shops and hadn't found one. Then, I went there and sure enough, it was propped up against a wall. I could almost here the choir singing and see the spotlight shining down on the board as I walked over to get it.
Then yesterday I got the same feeling. I needed to go to the same store AGAIN. I thought "another boogie board??" So I was on my way over when I got sidetracked and never made it. So I decided to go today during my lunch hour. What do I see as soon as I walk in... a table with Halloween props. Of course, my eyes opened wide like a kid on Christmas morning!! I was the only one in that section of the store. Which was fine by me, no crowd to fight. They had a couple of large paper mache flaming skulls, a couple of foam pumpkins, a fiber optic pumpkin, a very large ceramic haunted house with all the ghosts, tombstones and trees to go with it and a couple of haunted house signs. I took the flaming skulls (they were $4.99 each, retailed for $19.99, still in box). SCORE!!!
Can't wait for the next time I get that feeling!!!

There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

Actually yes. Just a few days ago. All of a sudden I had the urge to go to the "Winners" at the local mall, one I never go to because it is usually well picked over. There they were. A lovely pair of black flats dotted in skulls and crossbones. I love them and it gave me enough of a fix to hold me over for another week.
Something wicked this way comes...

I almost never go to the local thrift store on Monday (half price day) 'cause it's such a zoo but I did a couple weeks back on a "hunch" and got two small wooden treasure chests, a silver plated bowl (more treasure!) and a couple of skirts for the missus' costume all for under $10.

Lucky Halloween premonitions!! I never get those. I get the feeling I’ve forgotten to do something and those always turn out to be right.

Not necessarily a feeling... –

but ever since I saw a table of vintage decorations at an antique market (so cheap) last summer, I have been wanting to go to markets hunting for halloween stuff. So last week I went to my local flea market and got an owl necklace, and today, I totally scored-a cast iron JOL for 2 bucks!
Now I always scan garage sales and markets for orange and black and if I don't see any I move on.

Soooo.....
Maureen...
What did you say the name of that store was?

I've been dying to go to the Key Center, a local thrift store we have and maybe there is a reason!

It sometimes freaks folks I'm with out.
I utilize a number of genuine animal skulls in my setup. We'll be out camping, hiking, or even driving down a back road. I'll say I need to go over somewhere, or ask to stop the car, and come back with a skull and/or a bunch of bones. I don't really search for the things, I just walk right up to em.
There's one spot near the house that's been nagging the back of my mind (we live right on the outskirts of developement). I KNOW something's there. It's just a pain to get down into the gully. If this 100+ heat wave ever breaks, I might give it a try early one morning.
