I ordered some ac 110v uv LEDs, 28 LEDs inside, to see how they work.
I plan on using them in a spot light hightlight some areas of my haunt.

    I will keep you updated.

Yes, I have some of those. Not overly impressed to be honest. I had better luck with fluorescent tubes.

Rule of thumb from black lights: If it is incandescent, don't bother. (unless you want a really really hot bulb that looks purple)

I use 4ft black light tubes, tons of 18 inch tubes, and my favorite is a UV wash unit. (expensive, though).

The screw in fluorescent black light bulbs work brilliantly to light a room, too.

I have a couple LED UV lights, and they are okay. They LOOK really cool, but they don't do a great job of giving off a black light effect, if that's your goal.

As they say on message boards, YMMV.

Thanks guys I was planning on trying the screw in florescent curly bulbs, just happened to see these spot light kind and wondered about them. I will stick to florescents and not bother with the others. Thanks again!!

I just got the UV LEDs I ordered.
They are 110v, 28 LEDs and screw in to a regular light bulb socket.
They last 10,000 hours, use 3 watts, and put out almost no heat.
They have a good, focused, light.

    Two for $22 shipped.

I shined it about 15 ft at wall and got a good amount light on a glow in the dark bottle of paint.

I bought them on ebay, $22 shipped.
I have also bought the RGB, color changing, (18 LEDs) 4 for $20 and they also work well.
