Some might know that I lost some pumkin plants due to a hail storm in late May, and the one that survived is slowly getting back on track!
BUT........
I had a little can of pumpkin seeds from a pumkin I grew last year seemed to have disappeared. I never really gave it any thought because I was in a fog after my destroyed garden...
WELL GUESS WHAT!!
It appears that during that storm or one of the others, the can was blown away, scattering seeds everywhere!
I have pumkins coming up through the slats in the back porch!!
Pumkins coming up in the wild flower garden..
Pumkins coming up in the putunias..
Pumkins coming up in the neighbors' yard...
OY!

Ah, Jack, Mother Nature taketh away, but then Mother Nature giveth back (in spades!).
LOL, that's funny. Hope your neighbors will be willing to share your pumpkins back with you. And just think, they won't be crowded about, since they're so widely scattered.

beat me to it Noah!
Ours are going like gangbusters, wish my corn was doing the same!
Also the neighborhood bald eagle and red tailed hawks aren't doing their jobs because something ate my bean and pea plants back to the ground.
Harvested our first cucumbers though!

y'all are ahead of me I haven't even planted mine yet. Maybe if I just throw them out there, they'll be fine.

I am slowly trying to transplant all the Pumkins to a more manageable area.
After the hail storm, I lost only one tomato plant and the rest sprang back, all the peppers did also.
My corn were small little nubs during the hail so were unaffected and are knee high now....sunflowers are going sky high!
I do however have this skunk that tries to make a nightly visit to my compost heap though!"I never drink....wine. Well maybe just this once!"
