Thread: Flash Pot or flash paper?

I have been thinking about the use of flash paper with an electric ignition or a flash pot in my display this year, I am a magician so I have devices that ignite flashpaper, but my question is is the flashpot legal to use in new york? I have read about it being illegal in several states.

A very minor technical note...for your flash pot, you're probably going to want to use what the shops call flash powder or smoke powder, as opposed to flash paper.

Unless, that is, you have a specific effect in mind.
