Who is already making plans for this year Halloween Horror Nights at Universal?!![]()
This has been an annual event for us since the beginning back in 1991...and this year proves to be shaping up as another fantastic one! If you've never been I highly recommend it. If ticket prices seem to steep, there are always tons of discount coupons that come out closer to the event dates.
The event will be held at the studios once again and tickets are already on sale! Make sure if you plan on staying at an on site hotel you mentioned your a Florida resident, you'll save about $25.00 a night on average. (That goes for Annual Passholders as well!)
I highly recommend the Frequent Fear Pass, you definitely get the most bang for your buck out of it!

I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

I usually alternate between Busch Gardens and Universal.
This year will be Universal.
I also get the express pass to make sure I can see it all

We were planning on going, and may still... but the wife will be almost 7 months pregnant at the time. I may get her to visit friends while I go by myself or something. ;-)

It would be fun to go as a group! We go almost every year and last 2 years got frequent fear passes so will definitely be doing that again. It could be a great time for the M&T crew!

A note to first timers... buy the express pass early, they only sell a limited quantity.
But for a nominal fee, I'll tell you how to do everything without waiting in lines anyway.
Okay, for free...
Get there when it opens. Literally RUN past the crowds who all go to the first couple houses. Start in house #3 or so. Then, just keep moving along. The crowd is BEHIND you. After you hit the last house, you can do the normal rides on the way back, and the first two houses you skipped will be empty or have very short lines.
This worked for us, hope it works for you. We rode every ride, and even ate a meal without ever standing in line for more than 20 or 30 minutes. We talked to people that only got to do a few houses since they waited in TWO HOUR PLUS lines at the first couple house. Yowch!

Thursday night is also a good time to see it all.
A little less crowded.
If you do go I highly recommend the Bill and Ted show, it is great every year.

Definitely utilize the Frequent Fear Pass option and use it on Thursday and Sunday nights...non peak nights and never remotely as busy as Friday's and Saturday's.
And I have to second the suggestion of purchasing an Express Pass! We attend the event numerous times each year, but typically always get Express Passes on Halloween night.I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
