I am thinking of putting up a prop of a miner and or a prospector. I have many masks I am sure I could find one that resembles a miner anyone know what kind of clothes I should put on him, so people will know exactly who he is?

will that look like a miner or just a hiredhand, cowboy, hillbilly?

Well, it's not so much the clothes, it's the accessories. Make sure you get one of those flashlights that attach to the head. And a hard hat. And a pick axe.

and a cage with a canary in it. they used to use birds to tell if there were any dangerous gas leaks/fissures as the mined/dug. if the bird died, they ran out fast.

a shovel also.

How about a long sleeve flannel with a black or brown leather vest over it, a pair of cord pants or old tattered jeans, a pair of dirty boots, and a big floppy hat. Make sure the mask has a long beard and wild hair. Have him hold a pick axe and a lantern.

aw how could I forget about the lantern? I have one of those.
