Pretty Much everyday!
Each year we do a Theme, and we have at least one song we incorporate into the "show". So when the music is on I always have to ask myself, "Would this work this year?"
We still don't have our song yet, we have a couple of ideas - Theme is a Murder Mystery - The Who "Who are you?" Also from the Musical Chicago "He Had It Coming"
And of Course at least once a day I will hear a song from past years, so I have to think about that year for at least the next 15 Minutes.
We are a group of 6 ladies (and spouses & kids) that are my "Crew" and we have a Halloween Charm Bracelet, So I am always looking for Charms, Online Ebay and actual stores.
We went to a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater A couple of weeks ago for our Outing, and they got our first charm this year, a Question Mark, Then I think our Title this year will be - Death By Chocolate - And I found on Ebay two charms that I like one is of the Grim Reaper, and then there are a few different ones of Chocolate. The bracelets are coming along we have had them for 5 years now and we usually get 2 - 3 charms per year.
Now I am haveing to read and watch old mystery movies.
Every year I do a LOT of homework on what our theme is, we have had, Hollywood, Zombies, Gnomes & Trolls, Addams Family, Aliens, Psycho circus, Local folk lore, Bugs, and just regular Halloween/history. There is usually at least two books purchased each year.
always looking in the stores clearacne isle for anything that can be used for Halloween, Always looking in the clearance fabric for Black for $1.00 per yard.

Ishwitch, I too am Insulin dependent, never thought about using the caps to the syringes. Just of the top of my head I would think something crafty like thread fishing wire through them for a keychain and you could buy some black or Halloween beads to use with them, what about something like a "Litebright" where you make a picture or a sign with them, poked thru black cardboard, and illuminate them from behind with a light bulb?, also do they float? I don't have an idea for floating caps, but the question popped in my head as I was typing.

We really are a sick bunch, imagine how much more productive we could all be if we didnt care so much about halloween. Wouldnt have any fun, but we would be productive.

More productive??? But Halloween IS what keeps me productive. It’s what motivates me to get up and go to work (earn money to buy new props), it’s what makes me go to the grocery store (have to eat well and keep up my health so I’ll have energy to set up props), it’s the escape area in my mind that keeps me from yelling at annoying co-workers, it’s the thing that lets me know I still have some decent memory left (I can’t remember the names of patients but I can recite every single prop that’s crammed into the storage room). Without Halloween I’d be a sickly, cranky old lady, sitting on the couch, trying to remember my own name. LOL

I used to be able to get on the forum at work but since all the “upgrades” I can’t get into it, or other sites that I genuinely need to do my job, anymore. IS says it’s because letting me into those sites would mess up the firewall. Is that true? I think not, but anyway, I miss being able to balance a stressful work day with a small, five minute dose of the forum. It’s a nice escape to Halloween-land. So, when I’m overly stressed and cranky at work, I blame it on IS (apologies to all those who work in IS and most likely do a very good job, but if you met our IS people you’d probably hate them too).

Hmm... I just got out of school on Friday but usually my ordinary day would go like this...
Wake up go to school and sit down in chemistry. Usually I'll try to focus but about 4 minutes in I'll realize that I HATE my teacher and think about all of the sick ways I could incorporate him into my haunted house... in pieces lol. Then I'll seriously think about this years haunt and make an estimate of how much money all of the props this year will cost. When I get home I make several pathetic attempts to make my computer start up and get the internet working... Eventually I give up, throw a **** fit and vent my anger out by killing people on Halo 2 multiplayer. When my parents get home I use their laptops and visit various halloween websites (when of course by now I've memorized every damn prop, mask and costume on every single page) and then check out ebay to see how my bids are going. On Saturday morning, me and my parents go garage sailing for about 2 hours and gather up old books, chandeliers etc. Usually I would then go outside and corpse up some bucky skulls but unfortunately my kitchen is being redone, which gives my mom the perfect excuse to bitch at me as much as she pleases and tells me to help landscape outside. Speaking of which, she's doing it right now... and I gotta go.
