Has anyone ever gotten a sponsor for part or all of your hant?
I am only asking this of home haunts and yard haunts, not pro for-profit types.
Does this ever work out? For example, asking the local Police Dept. to buy the glow products (as a safety feature), or have a small local business or civic group buy the candy or something?
Would this take your control away from the event?
Has anyone done this with any groups like a VFW or Grange or Boy or Girl scout troop, etc?
What would be in it for them (other than the police who should be happy with the safety angle)?
All the responses I got from the Halloween Budget thread made me think that there must be a way to defer some cost and still put on a great show.

i've never had any sponsors, i wouldn't want anyone thinking they could tell me what to do, i'd rather pay for it myself(other than gifts from family and friends)

The following haunt is being brought to you by... The letters S,K,L, the number 666, and viewers like you. Thank you. (Man I watch too much PBS.)
Meanwhile, back on topic. You probably could get sponsors, but with sponsorship comes expectations. Your vision probably won't be theirs, and they'll feel entitled since they're giving you some stuff. It'd be more of a headache, but you might be able to do more with it depending on your sponsors, or they could completely suck the fun out of halloween.End Male Genital Mutilation. Don't circumcise.
