Now all you have to do is find some cool stuff with which to fill them! Rubber frogs, eyeballs, bat wings...Oh the fun!

haha yes! The fun! I picked up some spiders, frogs and snakes a few weeks ago, but they float! haha. My boyfriend says it's alright since they will be looking at them fron a distent, but i would have rathered them to have not floated. Since I have a niece who I watch a lot of them time, I have TONS and tons of glass baby jars. lol. I've got a good 50. Which is neat in itself. :-P

Perhaps you can fill the bottles with a thick liquid that once pushed down into it, the items won't float easily back up. Karo syrup perhaps, dyed colors and tightly sealed.
I once had colored a bottle of Karo red for blood in a play, but it was never used. I kept it 2 years in the halloween stuff. Never molded. Don't know if stuff will float in it, but it might be worth a try.

You could hot glue your floating items together before you place them in the jar. This way, they would become one 'tall' thing that would fit from the bottom of the jar to the top.
Another cool thought: Sink a small mirror in a jar of spiders so that it catches movement in the room. With enough hot glued spiders in the right places, folks will just see snipets of movement and light in the jar. You could also ziplock a glow bracelet/stick and add that to your jar...with enough frogs, spiders, whatever- to mask the plastic bag, but not the eerie glow.

Lucky find ,cookie monster, I have been looking for jars and bottles of my own, I have got a couple, but am still looking. I came across bags of flies, roaches, and centipedes at dollar tree, plan on trying karo syrup with food coloring in it to set them in. the small morror idea from boo whoo sounds worth trying also, as well as hot glueing things togather. I have seen a web site with pretty detailed info I am not sure now where, will look for it and get back to you!
I have flying monkeys- and I'm not afraid to use them!

Don't forget to try Goodwill and Salvation Army stores. I got some really cool bottles from there last year for only $o.25 and $o.50. You can usually find interesting shapes.

I had people at work save some for me. I have a bunch and made labels for them, now I just need to start filling them!
