Whew...I'm beat. Spent all afternoon picking up wood from a torn down deck given away on freecycle. Many looong pieces..had to disassemble some, but got 2 trailers full...should be enough for all the tunnel making projects we were planning this year.
*subdued tired happydance*
Now I gotta get the nails out of them....

Great score!
I don't want to just scare them... I want to mess them up for life!

Our freecycle has had several leftover lumber from construction posts lately! I would love to get it and plan out some haunt stuff but just can't right now.
I should start getting it anyway, or at least what I think I would need, for a pavilion/gazebo idea I have for our clothesline poles. They are old and sturdy and sunk solid. Hubby wants to rip them out, but I thought covering the tops with a louvered or pergola type roof.

Some of the great finds I scored have been an old pickett fence, about 10-15 ft long (great for my graveyard) and a lot of chicken wire for my trees in my haunted forest.
My garage is getting full of freecycle stuff. There will come a time when you have a chance to do the right thing.
I love those moments. I like to wave at them as they pass by.

your welcome...I found out about it on here..its a great resource, and very addictive, much like craigslist. If you don't have one in your area, start one.

Granamyr, are you in the KC area? I saw a post about deck lumber here and tried to get it but it had already been claimed. I suppose I can forgive as long as the wood is going toward the good Halloween cause.
