Logo Contest!

We are pleased to announce a Logo Contest!

GLFF needs its own logo and this year the search is on!

This gathering belongs to all of us and I feel we should all have a say in the determination of this logo.

I will have a panel of "judges" to narrow the field of the applicants, to a final top 5 logos.

Out of the top 5, the winning logo will be chosen - by the attendees of Great Lakes FrightFest. (I personally will not have final say in this competition).

I'll plan to keep this anonymous, with the hopes people will vote for what they truly like
vs. a popularity vote!

Yes… There will be Rules! Yes, there will be prizes! Yes, you can enter!
And Yes, GLFF will have its own logo – starting next year!

The Grand Prize is a Fully Corpsed Bucky gratuitously donated by Odie Schaefer, (Mouse, Carrion Farms.)
Along with receiving full credit for designing the logo!

THE RULES: DEAD LINE – MAY 20, 2007

The design will be used for web sites, banners, tee shirts, letter head, business cards, etc.

It may be used as the permanent logo of Great Lakes FrightFest. (Notice FrightFest is one word).

At time of voting a number will be assigned to all artwork, it will be anonymous, but at the end of the contest, we request permission to announce your name.

Artwork must be clean, simple and photocopy well. Logo should look good in black & white as well as in color. Logo must be scalable: it must work well at large scale as well as small scale.

Must say Great Lakes FrightFest or GLFF, if possible include “Haunters Against Hunger – Haunted House”. Or the web site: GreatLakesFrightFest.com

Design must be appropriate for the whole family – Halloween related but no blood & gore.

No Copyright infringements, must be original artwork.

Each entry must include: Name, e-mail address, snail mail address, and phone #, along with the best time to reach you.

*** For judging purposes send a jpg (no larger than 4 MB jpg). Then the top 5 logos will be asked to upload to a FTP for final judging. Size: Please keep it 10”x10” / 300 DPI. ***

Non-jpg preliminary entries will not be considered.

Final format suggestions: Layered Photoshop or layered .tif – .eps or .ai files (Vector Art)

Please save all original formats in case of changes.

We at GLFF reserve the rights and claims to use winning artwork as we see fit.
Winning art may be adjusted and/or changed to meet our needs. Winner waives
all rights to design but will receive full credit for their work. Winner will be required
to submit all original logo art files (and appropriate links).

The designers for the top 5 logos will be notified that they are in the finals.

The top 5 designs will be enlarged and placed on display for the final competition.

Winner will be chosen at Great Lakes FrightFest event – on June 2, 2007
