I am thrilled!! I got reservations to the 2 parks I plan on "haunting" this year. One is at a place I have been many times, but the first time I got the site I wanted. It is on a corner, and quite big. Ithe other one is at a park I son't know well, I just did a quick walk thru, an computer search, and I think it is a good site. While I am there for the halloween bash this year I will check out all the sites so next year I pick more knowlegably. I don't have TOTers at home, and do small decorationg there, so this camping thing is my big venue. The first week end is at the new park, and I am told has 1000 or so TOTers, and the one I go to every year has more than 300 TOTers, so I will have to get candy early (Costco, here I come!!) I am very excited, now I have work to do!! Times a wasting!!

thanks oct31man! actually I just do my own site, this year I am doing a walk thru graveyard, every year I get bigger and add more. Every one in the campground does their own thing, some very small, some very elaborate. It is fun, a whole camp ground geared toward halloween, 300 or more sites , mostly decorated, all loving halloween. It isn't as involved as some bigger haunts, but I love doing it, actually am rather obsessed with it!

Bethene, I also decorate a campsite. After so many years of just enjoying other campers sites I put out 4 static pirate skellies 2 years ago and last year was up to 12 Pirate skellies with 5 that talked. Unforunatly last year we went up to the mountain a week early to set up and 2 days before the Halloween extravaganga there was a big forrest fire that killed 6 firefighters and stranded my husband (I went back home, child still in school). The fire completely surrounded the campsite so nobody could leave. Needless to say, everybody got out of there as soon as there was a fire break. I lost some props ( my husband was throwing everything into the motor home as fast as possible). So no pictures of the camp site last year. I have some of the home set-up but my house isn't the best for my props and I really build with camping in mind. I'll post as soon as hubby converts my video. I too am obsessed with the camping/halloween experence and will never be able to stop I fear. I have way to much fun even though the rush to get everything up and working then back down and up again kills me. Funny thing is I live to do this.

We have friends who haunt Fort Wilderness campground at Disney World. We helped them set up one year and it was very exciting.
So I completely understand your love of it! They always invite us to come but I can't leave my yard haunt! LOL
Bethene, how are you going to haunt 2 campsites? It sounds like they are in different campgrounds.

Yeah, I am good, just not that good!! Actually they are on 2 week ends, the12-14th of October, and they 26th - 28th of October. So I still get to do something at my house actually on Halloween. I don't do as much due to vandalism ussues, and hubby doesn't want stuff wreaked, so all my energy goes into my camping sites. I am absolutely addicted to it. Every year I get more obsessive, and bigger, and hopefully better Bucineerbabe, I am so sorry about your props, It must fo been a awful, and very scarey, being caught by a forest fire. I am always glad to hear about other people that do camp ground haunts, would love to see the pictures!!
