Hi everybody!
I was curious to know if there is a luctrative market for planning Halloween parties.
I would be forever grateful if anyone could give me advice or help!
Thanks,
Sara

I wouldn't imagine it is lucrative since you'd be pretty restricted in time frame, unless you would just plan the parties and not show up for the set up.
Good luck!

The vast majority of the visitors to my house last year were grateful that I had taken the time to set up a haunt. There were a few punks, however, that really made me angry. They pushed on the walls, and one even smacked me with a cane (I was dressed at as a monster, sitting behind the candy.) I think they are trying to act cool in front of their friends and show they are scared. Why are they even trick or treating? Has anyone banned older kids?
Halfway through the night my neighbor, an intimidating sheriff, worked the opening to the crypt and things went very smoothly. Perhaps I'll get him back next year.
As a note, I live in a very safe area. These kids were just brats.

It's an awfully narrow niche. You couldn't do more than one party a day, ideally, a weekend, unless you had a lot of help, especially if you are to offer unique and complex features. You might be able to get away with 2 parties a week for a space of 2 weeks or so, and then the season is over. Now, if you just want a short-term job, that might not be so bad; however, that's a lot of work building relationships with suppliers and caterers, etc. for a couple of weeks.

Could you plan parties ALL year long?
And maybe your Halloween parties just kick ASS and you can charge thru the roof?
