So, it's not original... it is for us.

    Psycho.

Project the movie (edited for the best parts) in a loop on the garage door.
People enter the hallway, set to theme music. Once they reach the end, they trigger the prop... corpse in a rocking chair that rotates and music starts.

The bathrooms would be done up in Psycho theme. I'm thinking little pieces from the movie everywhere.

Just need to work in my MIB and cemetery too, somehow..

    Etc. etc...

    Whatcha think?

Sweet! One of my favorite films, and a fine theme.
If it's at all do-able (I know money's tight, same thing over here!), see if you can beg, borrow or steal a decent sized car rear end. If you know anyone in the junkyard or body work biz, try to acquire an old burnout car or at least the trunk end, and have a chain attached as if pulling it out of a swamp or lake, like in the end of the movie. I KNOW it sounds insane but if you ask around now, and can get it for free or for some return service of some kind (I'll leave that to you, family forum and all), you could have 'her' car parked there, or being pulled out of the woods or something... I dunno, the concept seems so neat to me.
Are you going to come up with a Bates Motel sign? Coloured glow paint on black foamcore or posterboard, a blacklight, and a flickering circuit of some kind would be a really cheap and effective way of getting that look.
Also, stuffed birds of all sorts can be scrounged from flea markets and thrift shops (and the haunter's friend, the garage sale) and should be prominently displayed everywhere.
A stuffed dummy representing Martin Balsam's character at the foot of any stairway would be a nice touch too, haha!
AH you're going to have a ball, can't wait to see the pics!!!!!
