I am curious how others would use our odd space to set up.
Since I am feeling lazy, I didn't sketch a new layout... the one below is good enough for this purpose.
Our house is on a corner lot, but the driveway comes to the SIDE of the house. We have a covered porch on that side that I seal up with black plastic to create a hallway of doom. I have always set up my graveyard in the side yard by the driveway. (fence, tombstones, lights, gravedigger, etc...)
The house is surrounded by thinned out woods.
We have a covered porch and large patio in the back (not shown). We have a great room connected to the patio that is the typical lounging around area, but people also go to our living room and linger in the kitchen and elsewhere.
The garage is packed with equipment for my side business, so there is no shot of setting up in there. It's a 2.5 car garage, so maybe I could eke out a 1/2 car slot...
There is a sidewalk from the driveway to the front door. (not shown)
It usually rains around Halloween, so walking thru the yard isn't really an option.
Without further details, how would YOU set up your graveyard and general haunt environment?

How are your neighbors on this?
Is one side more receptive then the other side? Maybe theres no difference since it's on a corner lot? Why not change it up & move things around? If the top of your diagram is North, then have it NW (side of house). There would be room for spill over in either direction NE or SW.

No neighbors yet, not likely by Halloween either.
The map is upside down, so to speak, so up is South.
The front of the house (the bottom) has woods to the front with no access from that street. Everyone has to come down the driveway to the house.

If rain and mud is going to be a problem then use what you have. Your drive, walk and porch. I take it your drive is as wide as your garage? If so you got PLENTY of dry space right there.
Set a teaser seen up in the front yard. Perhaps a spot lighting 3 tombstones and not your best corpse.
Divide your drive in half. The side facing the front is in, the side facing your walk and porch is out.
Set up a freestanding wall structure. Use partial walls as seen dividers and braces to hold it all up tight.
What I would do is put the not so good stuff on the 'going in' side. Perhaps using hay bails or faking some ( paint foam sheets a bit darker than the straw. Use spray glue to adhere real straw to your foam)*::see note:: Decorating this with Jack-o-lanterns, corn stalks and a few stand up or sit down props. Don't neglect your yard on this side. You'll need to put a few things there to make it a 'walk through'.
Use all your good stuff around the walk and 'going out' side of the driveway.
The only jam ups you would have is the drive to walk way area. This will need to be well defined. If you have an extra live body this would be a good spot for the person to be.
* may not be a good idea. around here straw bails a really cheap. cheaper than foam. the only positive side would be you wouldn't have to buy and discard as many bails. *The cold winter air lets me know I'm still alive. I feel it as I breath in and see it as it leaves me. It's the point in-between I'm not sure about.....
