I am so excited, while at a local fabric store I found a table with $1 a yard fabric. I found a sheer gauzy white, a cross between tulle, cheese cloth and netting, if that makes sense, and bought all they had, 8 yards (wish they had more) it will make perfect ghosts, plus I got a semi sheer black, a gauze black and a couple more heavier weight black. All at the dollar table. It was a Fields Fabrics if anyone has one by them, they are having a inside sidewalk sale. Well, just had to tell all you guys, no one else understands how excited I got! Have a great week end!

Hey, I know that Wal Mart is getting out of the fabric business. Maybe your local store is clearing it out? My wife stocked up on some stuff when they started moving it out here.

Yes, I got all my fabric last year at wal-mart for $1.00 a yard. I got over 20 yds. of black, plus dark brown and dark grey. Everything looks black in a dark room. I did not know they were getting out of it. I'll have to keep an eye out. THanks!

I heard they (walmart) were going out of the fabric business also. I checked my local one about a week and a half ago, no sales yet. Maybe I better check again , keep a eye on it.

I have several friends that work at the local wal mart, and they all told me wal mart is getting out of the fabric business.
But not all of their fabrics are on sale.

    Maybe I should go shopping.

Can't wait to see what you make with your new fabric, Bethene. Keep us updated either here or in the Forum's costume section. I recently found some black velvet with silver spider web on it fabric for $1 a yard and bought all 8 yards that Hancocks had. I plan on making a long robe with large sleeves.
