I found this site and thought it was kinda funny.
Thought I'd pass it along, you never know when it might come in handy.

Now there's a useful site! Thanks for sharing it - I've always been deeply disturbed by the idea of zomibies

While you're there, be sure to look at the rest of Spookyblue's site, as he's a fine Halloween propmaster, and shares loads of excellent info on a number of projects.

I did see his site and thought it was great.
A lot to be learned from there.

You know, it's funny to me (and I think this post will merge this thread into the off-topic realm, sorta, so my apologies beforehand!)...
Yes indeedy, Spookyblue's site is awesome, and I love his Undead Outbreak page because I'm a massive MASSIVE zombie fan (witness my NOTLD icon)... but it occurs to me that a lot of the conventions of zombie lore are pretty illogical.
I know, a stupid thing to say because what the hell, it's all cool fantasy, but still... like, what is it with eating 'brains', as most of the later zombie movies have loyally touted?
Some movies and books have attempted to explain the desire for brains as a kind of neural nourishment, that the ingestion of brain matter will keep their dead brains functioning, allow them to continue to function and move.
Fairly nutty idea, similar to the idea that eating enough beef will turn you into a cow, or that eating eyeballs will keep your vision strong and your eyes healthy.
But even if it were true, if their digestive systems are shut down at death, and some of them HAVE no stomachs, what is the purpose?
And on another physical level, even if the above were alright, ... have you ever tried to open a skull with just your bare hands? Even a strong, living person would have oh JUST a bit of trouble with that. And before you say 'crack it open', I've never seen nor read a zombie attack involving rocks or any other weapons with which to open a skull.
Let alone a rotted bony set of fingers, no matter what motivated them.
I think if it REALLY happened, it wouldn't be ghoulish predators trying to feast on hapless humans, it would be like... shambling zoned out bodies slowly decaying until they rot enough to no longer move.
Yes, this is the kind of stuff I sometimes ponder, hahah!
I KNOW it's all movies and fun and I assure you I have never once wasted a single second thinking about such things when enjoying even the cheapest, dumbest zombie film or book (and there are many!)... but I just wonder what it would REALLY be like, and how it would be very, very different than anything onscreen or page.

The website is very similar to "The Zombie Survival Guide" and "World War Z " , both written by Max Brooks.

    Mike - calm down, man.

    Make some hot chocolate.

I'm "lmao" over here. I'm trying to believe you've never spent a single minute thinking about this stuff...

You're the resident zombie expert - I'll definitely breathe a sigh of relief the next time a dead person is trying, in vain, to pry my head open.
    Wait... Did you hear that?

Well, being calm is very important when zombies attack... in fact, 'playing dead' is probably your best bet. :-)
Actually, I DO spend time thinking about this stuff, I just don't waste any movie or book time thinking about it while I'm viewing or reading.
