Thought all of you fellow Spooky Town collectors would enjoy looking at photos of some of the new goodies for this year. I already know what I'm saving up for !!! I love the Forsaken Souls Prison and also Frankensteins Lab. Wonder how much the markup at Michaels will be....

    Awwww frickin' schweet!

Ok, I'm officially inspired tonight to spread the newspaper on the floor and start painting some of the set that doesn't quite fit in with my Christmas town.

Ironmaiden, did you put up any pics of your spookytown setup anywhere earlier?

    Hi Tuzla

Actually I had more of an Xmas village this year. I bought my first S.Town starter set from BJs Wholesale Club after Halloween. I got the Masoleum and 13 other pieces for $30. I didnt realize how $$ those things are til I checked out prices online. Thats when I jumped in the car and raced back to BJ's. I only took everything out of the box to make sure it worked. I now have the Spooky Town collector fever LOL I am putting aside money every week so that I will have the cash when the goodies hit the shelves.

If I post my progress, would you critique it?

I spent waaay too much $$$ on eBay for Christmas villages this year, most of which hardly match -- which is a great reason to go ahead and try to work these pieces into Halloween.

Oh oh oh I almost forgot -- I picked up a porcelain stone fence and gate (a little smaller than the LeMax scale) that has Christmas wreaths on it that I think I can paint black and make it the entrance to a cemetary.

What pieces of your Christmas set have you considered creepifying, and how? I'm wondering what to do with the bottle brush trees.

I would be happy to see your photos. I dont make my Christmas houses into Halloween, guess I am too lazy.
I got lots of my new Christmas houses and accessories 1/2 price at Kmart, Stop n Shop and even some open box houses for $5 at Namco Pools!!

I also had an idea of making a trellis out of deer bones as they are real easy to find around here!

Just a heads up -- I haven't seen the Dept 56 horse drawn hearse yet and it's pretty cool as a standalone knick knack.
