I scored a Gemmy talking pirate skull for myself! Found it at a KB Toys outlet for $12. He'll need a little dressing up but the voice and sound quality are awesome.
Merry Christmas to me! Oh, and I did get a few things for the kids as well...

Nice Find....
Any Halloween stuff you can find tucked into stores amongst the x-mas stuff is going to have a pretty good price right now.

If it's still there when I go back I want to pick up the talkinh parrot they had as well. With a little hacking I think it would make a great costume addition.

^~~~ totally envious!
I love finding stuff leftover, but around here that's impossible because everything Fall/Halloween gets strictly put away after Thanksgiving - nothing horns in on the big $$ holiday!Haunt to Live ... Live to Haunt

That's a great find! Good for you...Christmas present for yourself while shopping for the little ones...
I came across some fall items at CVS about a week ago, some decorative leaves and such that'll work nicely for our Halloween wreath next year. I have to agree with We'en...around here you've only got a few weeks after Halloween to get anything on sale, after that...it's strictly Christmas.I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.
Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

Agreed, you know its slim pickin's when all that's left are cheesy cloth door decorations and party napkins. It's spooky around here DeadEnd; you'd think it was the law for all major Halloween decor to gone!
Good nab Dusza Beben, at least someone's gettin' what they want for Xmas!!

Dusza Beben: that’s wonderful that you were able to find “Halloweenables” in the Christmas madness! Mr L and I always shop with an eye out for what we call “Halloweenables,” ordinary objects that can be converted into Halloween props. It makes shopping, especially grocery shopping, so much more fun! We love the isle with the ethnic spices...there’s a bag of one kind of spice that I swear looks like dried flesh!
Lynn: We hate anything cutsie too! In fact, my 80+ year old Dad surprised me at Halloween. We were at a CVS. I ran off to get something and found him wandering the Halloween isle. As I approached he said, “Don’t waste your time looking here. All this stuff is too cutsie for you!” Way to go, Dad! LOL
