Ok, here goes. As you can see, our haunted garage is very modest compared to what most of you do. All store bought props (but that will change next year!). But we had sooo much fun doing it and the kids and neighbors seem to love it so that’s all that really matters.

    First, the dismembered clown section:

This next one got a big reaction. Used real hamburger bun w/fake blood and hand. One little girl was tugging at her Daddy’s hand, saying, “Look, Daddy, it’s a hand-burger...a HAND-BURGER.” lol Nearly every grown woman who saw the “finger dog” (real bun, mayo, ketchup and onions with fake fingers and blood) said, “Ewww...that’s disgusting!” I’ve always said that if I can get people to say, “Ewww....disgusting” then I’ve done my job!!

Next was the distraction table with crawling things on it.

Everyone would stop to touch the tabletop crawlies when this guy (hidden under the table) came crawling out at them. Got many adults to scream at cold zombie rubber touching their bare leg!

    Next, the king himself, Leatherface:

And my favorite section, the meat market. Can you spot the poo on a platter? Lol Mr L said, “Don’t put that on there, that’s disgusting.” I said, “Yep, I’ve done my job. The poo stayed on.

Next, the insane asylum. The huge roach kind of creeped me out. We’ll be expanding on the insane/bug theme next year. That’s Mr L’s baby.

Those are AWESOME photos! You all did just an absolutely amazing job...the details are fantastic. I love the various body parts in the meat packages, that's great! The "hand-burger"...classic! Kudos to you, I can tell a lot of time and love was put into this set up! FANTASTIC!!!
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.

    Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

Wonderful set up, I love it.
Put your hand behind your back and give yourself a pat on the back for a job well done.

Thanks all for the nice comments. I swear the only thing that is getting me thru this Christmas season is coming here and looking at everyone’s 2006 Halloween haunt pics and videos. It makes me feel like Halloween is not that far away!

Wow Mrs. Leatherface, the garage looked great - good creating areas just using store bought. (Totally jealous at all the good stuff you got - did you get all the items this year?) Only critique I would offer would be somehow to separate the areas as the TOTs go through - keeps them wondering what's around the next corner. (Of course that opens up a whole new world of problems of walls, design, space, cords, etc.)
Good morning to you Billy Bones, Billy Bones. Good morning to you charming Billy.
