We were out Christmas shopping, wandering throught the Seasonal section looking at Christmas decorations. My wife, who was never big on Halloween, turned to me and said, "Boy, these just aren't as much fun as Halloween decotrations, are they?"
YES!!!

Hit mine in the head with a bat, that way she'll see somekinda light.
I wish she'd take an interest in it. She always loves the final dispaly and we'll bring me home some things orinated with the day, but just doesnt get into it.
I got only 30 years left to break her in...lol!

ChrisW,
Very nice. My wife used to say nothing goes outside before October 1st! However, she asked me in September if I needed any help setting things up. I was so shocked I almost became a prop!
It is so nice when we turn people to the dark.Last edited by jbrimaco; 12-07-2006 at 07:54 AM.

I met my wife as she was a customer going through my haunted house, no surprises for her there!
One of the first photos she ever showed me was her in her "Pinhead" costume, she did it all herself, by herself!? All those little nails all lined up so straight and real!!
Her friends asked her what I was like? (From seeing me doing the house tour)
She told them I was like Robin Williams on crack!
(I was talking too fast that night)
She had such a fun time she just had to return..again and again, finally she decided to stay.

Chris, your wife is right. I've noticed that myself. Hallowe'en displays evoke big smiles from people that Xmas displays don't. Xmas displays are something of a chore, Hallowe'en is fun. Why is that?
We're doinga 7' tall Grinch stand-up this weekend. The Grinch's fur is "Witch-Green", so no problem there...Wolfman

Heeeee - "another one bites the dust"!! Pretty soon she'll be picking out the faux purple tree for dual use, and salvating at the post-Xmas clearances!
Hubby's not really into decorating no matter the holiday/season, so he leaves it to me pretty much (and thus, that is why our inside and outside Xmas displays are so simple!)Haunt to Live ... Live to Haunt

It was she who suggested a Halloween party this year (first one) and really did a great job with themed food (brain mold shrimp dip, etc.) and decorating inside. It was a blast with her getting into it.
I keep looking around for the big truck with all of the pods in it...

My hubby has shown glimmers of the disease, but no serious outbreak! I keep hoping he'll come down with a full blown attack!
LOL
He did, however, keep relaying things seen at Universal's HHN to things we could do. So there is hope!
He's blaming my Halloween stuff for why our Christmas tree isn't up yet, we got in a big argument over it last night. He insisted that all of the outside decorations be completely put away before we went on our cruise over Thanksgiving week. So figure that in with my working 10 hour days, shopping and packing to be done, suffice it to say, November flew by and the inside of the house didn't get touched. Well, except by our 19 y/o, who basically trashed it while we were gone.
So now I'm having to totally (and I do mean "totally" ) clean the inside of the house and am not done yet. I can't put the tree up until the carpet is cleaned. And that is hubby's job. And that has NOTHING to do with the skulls on the mantel yet, nor the scene setter crawling up the wall under the spider web at the end of the hall!
Yeesh!

This is so funny ! Many of us live so far from each other and yet, we are so much alike ! Yes my husband has show a glimmer, every now and then, but only after I tell him to relax and let me have MY fun. Then he will decide to get invovled some. I think its only because he knows that it the only way he can be a part of my life at that time of year !!!! lol... ISH WITCH,,,,, I don't miss the years that our kids were still at home and would trash the place when we were gone. I about had a coniption fit once when we came home and found puke on the new carpet in the hallway !!!!! Those boys could have been a prop then !!!! Only thing that saved them was the thought that my husband and I had of just running away and buying a new house and not telling the KID where we moved to. We said we would just return once in a while when they were gone and take thing from the old house..... Was a good thought anyway.... and the kids did survive. (just barely)
