Well, everyone talking about it got me in the mood to do it...after putting up lights and garland for Yule today I got back down the last Reaper I'd put up, added a santa hat and beard and put him up on the fence. Then I got out the Scythe and wrapped lights around it. See him here:

My fiance rolled her eyes and laughed.
I was thinking of adding a sign thats says Drive Safely.
I know one neighbor's son was killed in a car wreck last year, but not during the holidays. I wouldn't want to offend her.
But MY sister was also killed in 1999, on Dec. 23rd, in a wreck due only to her own carelessness, apparently in too much holiday hurry. So I tend to remind people to be careful during this time.
If only I could tell that to the cop who ran a red light in front of me yesterday which caused us to be in a 3 car pile up on the way to my Mom's. Noone seriously hurt...just backaches. He had lights on, but came from a side street and could not be seen...he hit his siren for a few beeps, but not in time before he was in front of us, causing me to jam on the brakes.
I stopped, but the 2nd car behind couldn't. He hit hard. The cops blame him. Oh well...everyone ok, thats the main thing.

A new State Policeman to this area went speeding through a Stop sign on seven hills road (he must have mis-counted the hills?) Smashed , T-Boned a car on rt. 64, both cars went down into a wooded valley, quite a distance off the road.
The first thing the new officier said to the elderly man driving the other car was , "Let me see your license!"
The old man said, "Let me see yours!"
Neither the man or his wife were hurt, very lucky!
