Just wanted to share a picture of my youngest son and his favorite pet rat. We nicknamed it chubby. He just loved it.

We have about six of those rats in various poses. We use them every year in our office haunt. This year, they were "PiRATs" to go with our pirate theme. I actually made little metal swords for them.

We put the halloween decorations away after the haunt, but the rats stay out and are just moved about the office throughout the year in different places, holding different things. Someone borrowed one last week because some lady here was complaining that she had to go out to the warehouse and there were a bunch of real rats running around. They used one of the halloween rats and put it in a cardboard box, closed it up, and put it on her chair. I hadn't heard what the outcome was.

Wow...I guess my kids are normal after all. Well, as normal as haunter's children can be. They, too, love our rat and have been known to fight over who gets to hold a skull. The stray kittens in our neighborhood got in the spirit too, as every morning we would find one curled up asleep in the lap of one skeleton.

What a great pic. You raising him right. My two year old loves all the props. Every morning on the way out to car car he says" guy, guy" so then he needs to go see a creppy guy prop. He even gets excited when I put his skeleton shirt on. There too cute at that age, and those young minds are perfect for teaching.

I have that rat, too! What a great pic.

I don't know if I'd be comfortable with one of our kids sleeping with a freddie or chuckie doll, but they could've had all the rats and skellies they could handle!
    LOL
