When all of you talk about "hacking" a prop or christmas prop, what exactly does that mean? Sorry in advance but I really want to learn and I have been wondering this for a while now

It usually means taking apart an existing mechanism and altering it to function the way YOU want it to. Example, let's say you want your KMart flying ghost to fly ALL night long...not just when it is sound activated to start. Taking apart the prop and bypassing the sound detector start would be considered 'hacking.'

Kinda like turning a singing Christmas tree into a singing halloween prop!
