We did two small haunts this year. Our first was the weekend before the big day when we at the campground for the final weekend of the season. Our second was at home for the big day.

We fought Mother Nature on both days. It poured rain on Friday night as we tried to set up in the campground. It was still so wet Saturday night that the haunted hayride had to be cancelled. Almost the every camper ended up at our site. Many said it was better than the hay ride anyway. They hold a decorating contest every year. We won.

The wind on Halloween day almost wiped me out. I couldn't find enough stakes to keep all the props up. Then it stoped dead a dusk. So dead that the fog just went straight up. I think a chiler will be in next year's plans.

Photos from both days are at the attached Photbucket page. Home haunt has a short video. Some of the props may look familiar. I stole most of the ideas here.

Thanks to everyone for all the inspiration

May through the start of October never missing a week, Camping in a few different locations along the St Lawrence river. From Alex bay north to Brockville Canada. Never have i seen a campground host such a contest. I think it is a great way to spend a weekend.....

    BonemanB,

It is the JellyStone Campground in Quarryville, PA (South of Lancaster). This year was our third Halloween there. It gets better every year.

    Grave Digger,
Both haunts are awesome! I'm a sucker for the great verbiage on the tombstones..."Clara Voyant"...classic! (Love the costumes at the camp grounds as well!!)
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.

    Laurie: "Was that the boogeyman?"
Dr. Loomis: "As a matter of fact...that was."

Yes I too loved those costumes! What fun to be able to decorate in 2 places and enjoy with 2 different crowds of people! I loved your campgroud cemetery, what fun to pull in a campground and find something like that taking place!

Congratulations on winning the contest too!
