    OUTSTANDING!!!

The Detritus Scarecrow is so creative and really a work of art; I can only imagine what the TOT's who ventured into your neighborhood must've thought when they saw your house...awesome!

I love the use of the various colors of lights in the jack o'laterns...beautiful!
I came here to chew bubble gum and kick ass. I'm all out of bubble gum.

I wonder what the TOT thought too.. notice I didn't use a plural. I pre-counted the candy I left out (I wasn't around for most of the night), and only one was taken.

Heh... at least we can all enjoy it here on the web, eh? Glad you liked it.

Even if you only had on TOT, just know that all of us here appreciate the work and creativity you put into your display! It really did turn out amazing! (I loved your video BTW...great music and a nice change to see the detailed work you did!)

I love the lighting in the graveyard.
Do you have individual spots pointing at each tombstone?

Actually I had two floods lighting the graves, one blue and one green. I had them at slightly different angles, but they combine to make sort of a cool-color environment with reasonably sharp shadows, and the differing angles gives it some depth.

Between the two was the third one, in red, that illuminated the scarecrow. All three had dimmers so I could carefully tune the relative brightness.

Up on the balcony, I just used three 25W party bulbs at different angles. The red one appears the brightest, and adds to the overall red lighting up the wall.

All pretty simple and worked great!

Very nice video...especially the opening credits haha You do a great job with the limited space you have

Did I watch the right video though? I didn't see the talking skull that you were working on.

Thanks, yeah, the limited space is a pain, but then again it lets you get a lot of detail without needing to spend thousands of dollars.

There's actually two videos. I didn't have the talking skulls in the "Halloween 2006" video. They weren't set up much since I don't like to leave them unattended.

    Thanks for that information.
I used green and blue one year but it didn't have the effect that yours had because my graves were too spread out. I clumped everything together this year but only had one flood because one broke. Oh well. There is always next year.
