Could we host a photo contest here? Larry?

I was just wondering if it would be possible to host a photo contest here on the forum for this year's best haunt pics? Maybe the winner could receive a HalloweenForum T-shirt or maybe a $25 gift card.

I'd be willing to pitch in a couple of bucks towards the prize.

Maybe someone could designate one thread where we could all submit a photo or two of our haunt and have another thread where you could vote anonymously and let it run for a week.

Just trying to think of a way to squeeze a little more juice out of this year's Halloween orange. LOL!

lol southernbelle , i think it is a good idea as well.....i think however maybe if doing a contest for a photo contest not to mix costume photos with decor photos ?

kinda hard to vote for a neat cemetery that will be competitionning a cute 3 year old in a witch costume ? or an animatronic witch prop verse a baby in a bunch of pumpkins dressed as a pumpkin.... lol ..... thats why i didn t comment on the readers digest message in this forum , i just think readers digest should have been specific as to seperate the 2 categories ?.....and well lets just also mention some of us are really good with photography compared to others as well so.....

as for giving a prize thats a good idea , i think that the many merchants that have some publicity on here as well could maybe contribute ?

and contest as to be not just for usa because hey we are many on this forum from around the globe so prize given would also need to be able to be received by an international member ?

so i think it is a good idea , maybe you should pm the forum adm as well to ask ?

WFC, those are great ideas. I think we should designate "decor" from "costume" and yes, it should be open internationally.

I'll send Larry the link to this thread in case he hasn't had a chance to stop by and view it.

Just a suggestion.
Many members here can't have haunts for various reasons.
What do you all think of a catagory of scary pics in general.
I can collect antique ones and some are pretty neat.
I think the more folks involved the more fun.
Example many urban haunters can't access space to grow pumpkins.

What a great idea! Two categories would be really nice. I agree with the problem with Readers Digest contest.

This way we can see what everyone is proud of and be in awe of the Halloween decorating deities!

I woukld hope that the pics that would be posted, would have be taken by the actual owners. I wouldn't want to see people posting pics from other people just to try and win the contest. (it takes away the fun imo)
