It started raining on Nov 1st, so I haven't (yet) been able to take pics of the setup in the daylight....will do so if/when possible.
This year's yard was a smashing success. We must have had 500+ visitors, compared to around 1/2 that many last year. The mayor of our town is coming to our house tonight to present us with an award...one of our neighbors nominated my yard for "best in town".

One of my previous posts here was about the $4 ceiling fans I scored at Target. I discovered everyone was right...they have REALLY low torque at slow speeds. However, it gave me cause to try something out that others may benefit from. To lighten the ghost on the line, I bought a large helium-filled mylar balloon, and used it as my "dummy". I got it at Party City...it is actually a cross, but works well (I think) to provide head, shoulders and arms to drape all of the gauze over. Final size is ~2ft by 3ft, whihc is WAY larger than I could get to move around the line with any other configuration I tried.
When the rains end, I'll make a point of getting better shots of the ghost up.
