Once again we had a great halloween party. The dutch people seem to be getting more and more into the spirit. Every year they seem to outdo themselves and are even bringing creepy food as well.
We have been very busy with a community project (trying to save a section of our neighborhood from being demolished) and so we got a late start and only had one new prop. But that one prop was fantastic! We also built a small cafe under our carport complete with a lit up guitar sign.

I know you have told us before, but I forget. How is it that you find yourself in the Netherlands? My former company has a facility in Venlo...

Very nice! Looks like it was a lot of fun.
So do you celebrate an extended Halloween since for you the 31st starts about five hours before the US's officially starts? (Am using Time & Date dot com - Copenhagen) to compare our time zones (I'm in central Illinois (Chicago, IL)) (I guess I mean do you stop when our west coast ends?) 24 +5= Extra Halloween Madness!!Haunt to Live ... I came here on vacation and fell in love with a dutchman. He wasn't interested in moving to the states so I moved here....6 years ago. One of our dutch friends wanted to experience a halloween party so that's how we got started. When I lived in the states, I never did anything for halloween except for hand out candy. Now that I live in the Netherlands, I can't imagine a year without a halloween party and fun props and decorations. Weird eh?
Venlo is in the south and I'm way up north with the farmers haha Really, the netherlands is about the size of Ohio. You can drive from one end to the other in about 3 hours. This year we had guests come from The Hague, Amsterdam and Tilburg (not too far from Venlo).

Thanks for the compliments. Yes we built the witch and the waiter. The witch was built based on Scarefx's design. You can see how we put her together here:

The scarefx witch is here:

The headless waiter was based on this man's work:
http://home.comcast.net/~misterbill1...er_how_to.html
Pieter found his own way to come up with the same effect. He plans on adding a 'how to' to our site once things calm down a bit and he has the time. When its up, you'll be able to see it on our 'prop' page.
The witch is the only prop that has survived more than one halloween. We are so limited on space here that Pieter normally builds props to use one year and then breaks them down. But that witch is so wonderful that he doesnt have the heart to break her down lol So, she's standing in our office upstairs till next year.
