A little bummed out, but excited for next year too. I had more than triple the amount of TOT's as the last few years, so now I'm really thinking about what to do next year-changing things up. It is a bummer though. It's the same amount of working putting it up as it is taking it down. But I'm so excited putting it up that it doesn't feel like work. Packing it up - a whole different story. But hey-it's only 363 days, right?

Well, my husband gets home from work before I do. He said he was going to switch the timer off so the lights for the display wouldn't come on!

I was like "No! Just leave it on one more day!" LOL

A few minutes ago here at work, my supervisor came by to ask me how my day was on Tuesday (she also had the day off and we hadn't touched base yet). A co-worker who sits by me joked "Are you still talking about Halloween, Kellie?!" LOL

I guess I'm feeling bit of withdrawl. But to keep it fun, I've got a sign pinned to my cube: "363 Days Until Halloween"

To get over my blues I had someone donate a singing mounted deer yesterday. So I put a werewolf mask on it. Oh the ideas are really flowing now for next year.

Oh my - looks like the blues are over for me.

I'm still filling in details that didn't get quite finished this year, before I put them away, so those will be ready next year (like finishing the lettering on my "<-- friendly this way, scary that way -->" sign.

Hi all. I'm new to the site. I just finish taking down the last of the halloween props. Blues are here big time. Wife told me they go down or else no more new props. She doesn't play nice! Looking forward to next year. Starting to make plans for the halloween. Great forum you have here. Will say in touch.

    HAPPY HALLOWEEN ALL YEAR LONG,

I had it pretty bad the day after Halloween, getting better.

It's like your in such preasure mode the whole month, trying to get it all up. Everyday is a championship game - youve got to be productive and get as much as you can done every day. Now that its over I feel empty. Even though the past few months have been unforgiving(especially the last one), I miss having direction. If only I had a cave to paper mache again.

Clean up isnt so bad. It goes so quick! You dont have to think about it...you just take props down. Unscrew this, cut that. No painting, no thinking about the most economical way to run the wires.

We should be congradulating ourselves instead of feeling down that its over. We worked hard all month, and in the end, the people came to see what we had done. All of us are now more accomplished as persons.

Now its time to destroy what we have created. The very nature of the Universe.

i only have the blues cause i can't start making anything new for 07 till after march. all moneys is already spent pretty much. there's xmas and wife's birthday, then feb is both parents b-days, march is 2 other sibling's b-days. april - october is my prop months. and i have ideas man IDEAS.

the only other thing that has me down is an incident that almost ruined it for me this year. the car of about 5 kids came rolling by and all you hear is POP POP POP. the kids in the area had no clue what it was. i play so i knew it was a paintball gun. they swung around again after i confronted them and so i called the cops. found out my neighbor across the street did too. no vandalism this year, but idot kids the night of. can't we just have a safe holiday?
