Well I went to a friends house that had kids come through last night before we were shut down and her daughter said all the kids were talking about at school today was our haunt and how it was the best around. And as much as I hate to I have decided im leaving the home I was born and raised in, time to look for a better place. Tell the realator Im looking for neighbors really into halloween and a lack of thugs and gang members.

It's a difficult choice I know, but I'm sure you will find happiness elsewhere. We loved the town that we used to live in but the steady increase in the # of gunshots we heard every night made us realize that it was no place to raise kids and was getting extreemly unsafe for us as well. I'm not one to run, but enough was enough when I realized that I never left the house without my .45 at my hip. Paranoid is not the town I want to live in. That was years ago but I don't regret the move one bit. Soon the ember of hope will bloom into flame and you will be on your way. Good Luck!

I too watched my old neighborhood in Chicago go down hill......its agonizing to see it. All the years it was a wonderful Polich - Irish neighborhood and now its all gone...happened in my Aunts neighborhood too. Very hard to swallow seeing that because of all the memories we have from growing up there.
Our family house that my great Grandfather built when he came from Yugoslavia still stands in all its glory and just a small handful of elderly good neighbors are left...its just heartbreaking. So I know what you are feeling like.

We had to move from my childhood home when I was in high school because it just wasn't a safe place to be.
I can also empathize, and I am glad you got some positive feedback for all of your effort.I LOVE TO PICK UP CANDY OUT OF THE LAWN. IT IS THE SIGN OF SUCCESS!

If you find yourself alone, riding through green fields with the sun on your face, do not be troubled, for you are in Elysium, and you are already dead.

We are doing the same, in the spring. The neighborhood has really gone downhill. You've given a ton of youngsters lasting memories, tho.
I look at it this way - maybe our haunt will inspire someone else around here to pick up the tradition once we go. And it will give us a chance to spread our gruesomness to a new locale.

Maximpact, c'mon to Apopka! I've got a nice quite neighborhood (read that: No Bangers) and as a fellow haunter, you'd be more than welcome. Quite a few nice homes available right in my area.

Come on over to Citrus County! I'm only 30 miles from you! There are some nice houses around here for sale. We can crank this neighborhood up another notch!

I hated to hear about the problems you had with your haunt. Best wishes on finding a better location.
