My wife's coworker just sent an email complaining that my two pirate props look too realistic. She said her neice was upset because they looked like real dead pirates.

I told my wife to tell her that they didn't just look real......... THEY ARE REAL!!!!!

BUUUUHAAAAAAAHHHHAHHAHHAHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, Her co worker thinks I should tone it down. All I did was corps a couple of skulls and made wire frame hands. Mount them on PVC frames and I am suddenly Lucifer.
Ok, I have been Lucifer for a while but my point is that I should be praised at my ability to corps not demonized.

Some people just kvetch, kvetch, kvetch. If it's not "too real" it's "cheesy and fake." In the words of a hokey 70s song (something about a garden party), you can't please everyone, so you've got to please yourself.

Hmm, I just realized that THAT can be taken WAY out of context, but you know what I mean

Take it as praise. If something is too scary for you then move along to the next house thanks.

I say, take it as a compliment and laugh all the way to next years display. You should be proud.

For the teenager who will remark that something loks crappy, not real have a crappy one displayed blocking the real-loking one, then say, "Want to see what a real body looks like ?" And pull out the second one!
