We made the Front Page of "The Samoa News", but our visitor count stayed about the same. We handed out all of our 820 treats and prizes and had about 60 folks go through at the end after we had run out, No complaints about the lack of gifts, BTW. Also, anybody over 18 didn't get a treat, but there were surprisingly few of those this year, around 100.

The turn-out at my house was bad. Maybe 40 kids. I have a ton of treats left over. The local media has been encouraging parents to take their kids to the malls to TOT because it is safer than roaming the streets.

    Not good for us haunters!

ITA. Those poor kids are going to grow up with crappy memories of Halloween.

For a school night, we did very well - small neighborhood, end of a culdesac. I made 180 treat bags and we had 8 leftover.

Only one incident - stupid gang of teens sprayed a few props with silly string. Thanks, already put numerous hours into those, I REALLY wanted to put a few more in cleaning them up.

We had over +600 ToT's and 2,900 visitors. The street was backed and traffic was a nightmare - once again, a smashing success. I am so glad the police loan us cones to keep traffic from turning on the street. By 8PM, most of the neighbors were out of candy...

    Great year,

    We had maybe 100 - 150?

I had so much fun hiding in the dark with the fog machine control, I wasn't really counting accurately. :P

Around 35-40. The candy Cauldron is still about half-full.

Ugh, why would you TOT at a mall??? Stupid local media. We'd have it easier if watching the nightly news wasn't about as scary as anything we could come up with!

Amen, brutha! Not just the local media outlets, but the national too. Never mind that VERY few of the stories about poisoned or boobytrapped candy are true (the one sorry dad that killed his kids with Pixie Sticks in the 70s aside)...

We had about 3X the turnout from last year (140ish vs. 45ish). We blew through the backup candy & had to make a candy run. It was GREAT! I heard "you have the best house in the neighborhood" or "that's so cool! How'd y'all do that?" umpteen times, which is VERY gratifying after several months of busting butt Parents were coming up to study props and take photos of their kids with our decorations. Kids were having fun, parents were having fun, and THAT to me, is what it's all about. Never mind how much fun I have making stuff

A few other houses in our neighborhood kicked it up a little this year, which is a good sign!!! I'm hoping next year (despite the crappy timing of the daylight savings time rollback) will be even better. I've so many plans for new projects...mwahahahaha!
