best house in my neighborhood, how about you? anyone have the news out there? i think the best thing i got is my neighbor now wants to put both our yards together and do a big haunt next year.

That's great!!! We had a lot of people comment that our house looked great and asked if it was ok if they took a closer look at everything. Our neighborhood doesn't have a contest but the kids kept saying "this is so cool" and a few TOTS were to scared to come up the drive. Now I have to go home today and start putting everything away until next year.

We had a lot of really positive comments...

from the kids... "Wow! Let's go that house it's so cool!"

from parents..."These are the best around here; do you mind if I ask you where you got your decorations?" (we made them!)


and a few parents getting their tot'ers to use our decorations as a backdrop for some pictures.

It was a lot of fun to see everybody getting so much pleasure!

I love halloween and this was my first year going all out. I always had light and fog and the look of halloween but this year i did my own props with the help of this forum. And i just could not belive the turnout. I got so many comments and i have never seen someone take photos like i did last night.
I didn't need all the strobe light i put out. And i didn't know what to say when they wanted to take a photo of someone with my troll. But of coruse i said sure. I plan on posting my photos soon.

I kept hearing that as well,"wow, this house is the best". Worked out great, this is our first year in the new neighborhood and it seemed to be a big hit.

I got a lot of great compliments before we were shut down. Told it was better than the Jaycees, better than busch gardens and better than halloween horror nights. Dont know if I believe them, but thats what they said anyhow. I got some video, not as much as I wanted with all that happened. I will post it soon. Sooner if someone can give me a tutorial on using my new camcorder.

I'm told mine is the best, but then again we are the only ones doing it in our neighborhood and not many people know people that do anything other than inflatables.

Mr. L and I always laugh when they ask the contestants on tv game shows what they will do if they win the money. They always answer the usual: house, car, help the mom, a charity donation.

“Tell us, Mr. And Mrs. L, what will you do if you win the million dollars?”

Yelling in unison: “Halloween!!!! 10K props here we come!!!!”

We had no competition again, maybe one year somebody will try to top us, if only a few of you were around what a cool neigborhood it would be, as a matter of fact I don't know of anyone in the city that does a maze with actors like us. I have seen some decent decor in the front yard north of us and keep in mind we live in a huge town outside of a major city. We are in a fairly new construction developement.......so maybe one year. That would be so great ! it almost sound like a twilight zone show . Where everyone in this one neighborhood has a outrages Halloween display or haunt.
But one house is not as it seems.
Sound like a script.
Right now on my street it is just a girl one house over and me. everyone puts something out but we try and go all out.
