I am officialy done with halloween after today!!! This was by far the worst halloween ever.
I had eggs thrown on the driveway, Actors were being hit
and worst of all my cousins girlfriend was groped TWICE!!!!
I shut down the haunt right when she told me. I had people come asking if it still was open and i told them nope. I put a sign saying that closed FOREVER!!
This was very bad, none of these kids deserve any of this!!! I work sooooo hard and I spend so much time and money for what?!?!? For kids to bother me!?!?!? I am sick of this. I am no longer putting any sort of display on my house AGAIN!!! I am officially going to open of my own haunt. Me and my cousin were talking about it and have deicded that this not worth the torture. Dont get me wrong, I love halloween but i dont love what comes with it.
I dont know what to do. All i know is that this is NOT what halloween is about.

Jon, what a terrible thing to happen, but if you'll read the other threads, apparently you were not the only one (not that it's any solace). People shouldn't fear for thier personal safety, or put up with sexual assaults, at thier own homes no less! You knowall of this really says something about society. When people have to PAY to see a haunt, they behave better than when something is given to them for free. Do you think egg throwing or groping would be put up with at a pro-haunt? No way, b/c the thugs and low-lifes know they would be arrested for it (and no refunds). Here you, and others on this forum, are spending your own $$, your own time, and that's what you get. Not to be melodramatic, but it really makes me want to cry.

I am so sorry that the thuggery happened to you. I just don't know what's happening to society today. Oh geez, I remember now, NO ONE TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND THINKS THAT NO ONE CAN HOLD THEM RESPONSIBLE

nyhaunter I'm a actor at a pro haunt and the assholes are even worse at a pro haunt.

My friend got hit with a bible I have had dirt thrown at my face. I have been slapped at least 15 times. Crushed between walls been kicked twice threatened thousands of times. I do all of this because when you get that great scare and the adrenaline gets going no matter how much my legs hurt I feel no pain until the scare is over.

If you scare the crap out of somebody expect to get hit. If it's your house don't let drunks in at all. Don't stop doing it because if you stop the assholes win.

These reports are just sickening. I'm so sorry for anyone that has had the halloween spirit sucked out of them. I think I would feel the same way.

Im so sorry to hear of the bad experiences you guys had to go through.
It's really is to bad some people have to act that way.

Ah geez...what is this world coming to? I feel so bad for you. But please don't let them win. Maybe forget the haunt, and just a static display? Where you sit as a prop with a shotgun full of bird bombs (non lethal).

russ, I had a lot of drunks come through and they were laughing it up and having a good time. Then the young black thugs go through with thier fists in the air hollering at the actors that thier gonna hit them if they scare them. What in the hell are you doing at a haunt if you dont wanna get scarred.

Jon, I'm very sorry to hear about what happened, hopefully over the next 11 months you'll get some of that spirit back. I know if that happened to me, I'd be writing a huge letter to my newspaper to vent about it and explain how we put on these displays for the ToTs, not to have eggs bombarded at you or have your friends groped. I agree with nyhaunter's idea of making it a charged event, maybe with kids being free- perhaps people will behave a bit better if they have to pay to get in?

i worked at cedar point halloweekends and ive got punched in the face, my girlfriend who also worked there as a monster actually got tackled, we got pushed,pulled,smacked, whatever you can think of thats what we got. morals just went down the drain nowadays. it is ridiculous, but i agree with russ pro haunts are really no different, the really really sad thing is that you gotta expect it.
