I just got back from work. The air is chilled, the moon is hidden, dried leaves crackle underfoot, in short it's the perfect Halloween night. I was coming into my apartment rather dissapointed that only three people at work dressed up in costume. When I got on my street though I was smiling almost immediantly. Groups of tiny tots and their parents were going door to door dressed in costumes, and carrying sacks full of candy.

What really made me smile was that when I got out of the car I heard a group of tot'ers ring my neighbors bell. When they opened the door a cadre of little voices screamed Trick or Treat.

It is one of the most beautiful sounds I could ever hope to hear. Made me wish I was 5 years old again.
" There could be no doubt of the design of my tormentors. Oh, most unrelenting! Oh, most demoniac of men! 'Death,' I said, 'any death but that of the pit.'"

This is such a special night. I love it! The little ones really make it all worth it.

My heart felt sound was a couple kids who came by while I was on the porch and one said, "Dang...you usually have the best house in the neighborhood!"

I did not decorate at all this year due to moving by the end of November...but it felt sad/good that some kids were looking forward to my display!

I agree! Monday was warm and sunny-until about 4 o'clock when the wind picked up something fierce, and things began to get wild. By dark Monday night, the wind was HOWLING and it was chilly. It seemed like Halloween was just saying 'I'm heeere!' Halloween started like it was gonna be so cold, and then, right around the TOTing hour, it became calm and perfect.
How do you like that? We had a perfect Halloween!

We had the same weather too! My only problem was that I KNOW I can make up 50 treat bags and still have several left at the end of the night. I ran out after an hour
I scraped up some other things quick and found out later my mom was telling everyone in her busy hood' to come over here. I've never panicked so much in my life.... it was great!
