Anyone else having weather problems with thier props. So far I have had to retrieve 2 tombstones that the wind threw 4 houses away. And I had to repair and resupport my Spiderweb tunnel several times this month. As for the TOTs this year they get 45 degrees and wind/rain chance.

Although it wasn't as bad as some of the east coasters got, I had 20 to 30 MPH winds here yesterday and I was prevented from throwing up my walls. I had over a dozen kids show up to help so I revamped the plan and had them doing whatever I could to get prepared for Tuesday. This has seriously put me behind but I'll have a gaggle of them coming by tonight to hopefully get some walls up. Anyway what a bummer it is to see how bad some have been hit this year with the weather woes! Here's hoping that everyone can patch and proceed with our favorite holliday! Best of luck, at least misery loves company

Weather problems here too.
But it could be worse.
Last June I was introduced to some people who put on a free walk through maze for Halloween.
We got to talking and before I knew it they invited me to join in on the walk through.
So I planned my vacation for that week.
They were happy to get more help and some of my props to use, as well as being one of the actors.
The trouble is, I quit my job 2 weeks before Halloween ( There goes the vacation ) to go to a better job with more pay, and a better company, so now I can't be in on the acting part.
We put the walls up a week ago to get ready for a practice walk through this past weekend and wouldn't you know it, today the high winds blew down most of the walls and they are predicting rain tomorrow night.

Had two tombstones get damaged by being blown down...pulled the pvc I had glued with an ample supply of liquid nails right off the back! I've lost two black lights (cheap bulb kind) due to breaking in the rain and lost that spotlight holder because rain got down inside and shorted it out.
I probably would have had more damage, but our front porch was being painted and I didn't have all my props out till just recently. Hate to hear about your haunt's walls being blown down! That sucks...err blows!

We have the opposite problem. Halloween's not nearly as much fun in California - it's 80 degrees outside with no fall foliage. Bleh.

So sorry to hear about that nasty rain and wind, I lived with it most of my life before I moved down south here. Its so much work to get things up and keep them running.
We had a run here with rain and then 2 days of wind, but today it was beautiful and tomorrow looks the same....71 degrees and clear skies.
I feel the same way about missing all the dead leaves>>>>>>I got roses blooming!

Supposed to be around 65 and sunny here tomorrow, but this past weekends winds did a number on a lot of people in the area. I'm glad I waited till today to set up my little graveyard..I guess my laziness paid off for once.
