As much as I WANT that big hanging clown prop, there is no waaaay I'm going to plunk down $129.00 + tax for it. Does anybody know if and/or WHEN Party City puts their stuff on sale before/after clearance? They are a bit of a drive for me...but if the discounts are there, I'll be there too! Are their clearances any good?

Im not sure about the city in your area but the party cities i have went too had the hanging clown for only 79.99. A pretty good deal!

Is it much different than the spencers clowns that are now half price?

Party City had 2 different clowns. One was a figure with movement and sound that stood about 5' 5". He had a bloody knife and was priced at $79.99

The other on ($129.00) was a huge clown head and hands with long streamers of red and yellow cloth swagged behind. It was meant to hang from the ceiling. I wanted to mount the head on a spring so that the head could swoop down on TOTs.

I have 3 Party Cities here in the area (ATL suburb). So far, I went to 2 of them this past week and they both had completely different items marked down. It must be the managers call as to which stuff they want to move. I thought I struck gold at one of them and, at the other, only was able to scrore a Midnight Syndicate CD for 9 bucks. Strange but true.

I plan on scavenging them this week. I think the one I found good deals at will blast out their leftovers so I will focus on that store first.

Anyone know about Halloween Express clearance sales?

I'm pretty sure the 12' clown that you're talking about Boo is the same one that Spencer's has right now at 50% off. Pretty impressive I must say, with the streamers trailing behind it and with just how big it is. When I stopped at the mall on Friday, the Spencer's I went to had both the 12' clown and the 12' reaper at 50% off. I seriously considered buying the reaper, but eventually passed, because I was really only there for the latex stuff :-)
